By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Nestipy is designed as a privacy-first, offline-first application. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud storage that receive your personal data. Below is the limited information the App may access:
1.1 Information You Provide Locally
- Profile Information: Name, date of birth, blood group, gender, emergency notes, and photo (stored only on your device).
- Medical Records: Allergies, medical conditions, medications, surgeries, doctor details, and file attachments (stored only on your device).
- Vaccination Data: Vaccine names, dates received, next due dates, and provider information (stored only on your device).
- Emergency Contacts: Names, phone numbers, and relationships of emergency contacts (stored only on your device).
- Documents: IDs, passports, certificates, medical reports, and other uploaded files (stored only on your device).
- Notes & Medications: Personal notes and medication lists created within the App (stored only on your device).
1.2 Device Permissions
Nestipy may request the following permissions, each used only for the purpose stated:
- Camera (optional): Used to capture profile photos or scan documents if you choose to do so. Images are saved only to your device.
- Notifications: Used to show local reminders for vaccinations, document expiry, appointments, and backups. All notification logic runs on-device.
- Storage (Android) / Photo Library (iOS): Used only when you choose to attach a document or save an encrypted backup file. No files are accessed without your explicit action.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store:
- Personal names, addresses, or contact details (beyond what you store locally).
- Medical data, health records, or any sensitive personal information.
- Location data (GPS or network-based).
- Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address, advertising ID, etc.).
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry.
- IP addresses, browsing history, or network activity.
- Payment information, purchase history, or financial data.
2. How We Use Your Information
Since Nestipy stores all data locally on your device, we do not access, process, or analyze your information in any way. The App simply reads and writes data to your device's local encrypted storage to provide its functionality:
- Display and organize your family profiles, medical records, and documents.
- Show timely reminders for vaccinations, document expiry, and appointments.
- Enable search and quick access to your stored information.
- Create and restore encrypted backups that you control.
3. Data Storage & Security
3.1 Local Storage Only
All information you enter into Nestipy is stored exclusively on your device using Hive, an embedded NoSQL database. No data is uploaded to any server, cloud, or third-party service.
3.2 Encryption
- Full-Database Encryption: The entire local database is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
- Encrypted Backups: Backup files you choose to export are encrypted before being saved to your device storage or shared via your preferred method.
3.3 Data Retention
You have full control over your data. You may edit or delete any record at any time within the App. All data is permanently removed when you:
- Delete individual records through the App interface.
- Uninstall the App from your device.
- Clear the App's data through your device settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Nestipy does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App operates fully offline and does not communicate with external servers.
The only external interaction is when you explicitly choose to:
- Share content via your device's native share sheet (e.g., to send a backup file or share the App with a friend).
- Open external links such as our website or privacy policy, which launch your device's default browser.
These actions are initiated by you and are outside the App's control once triggered.
5. Children's Privacy
Nestipy is intended for general audiences, including families with children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction). Since no data is transmitted to us, children can use the App under parental supervision with the same privacy guarantees — no personal information from children is ever collected, stored, or transmitted by us.
6. Your Rights & Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: All your data is visible within the App at any time.
- Correction: You can edit any record directly within the App.
- Deletion: You can delete individual records or all data by uninstalling the App.
- Data Portability: You can export an encrypted backup at any time via Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Withdraw Consent: You can revoke device permissions (camera, notifications) at any time through your device settings.
7. Data Transfers
Because all data remains on your device, no data transfers occur. Encrypted backup files you choose to export are under your sole control — you decide where to save, share, or store them.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via the App's settings screen or our website.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
